Special Programs / Independent Study Course abroad
For School for International Training programs or other programs which include an independent study or internship component in the program coursework, participants must consult with the major adviser and decide upon a topic and pre-participation bibliography for this academic element. The topic and bibliography must receive departmental or program approval before the student leaves for Office of International Programs. In addition, fieldwork or internships which require the support or approval of a Vassar department or the major adviser must be set up before the student leaves campus if possible . If this is not possible before departure you must contact your adviser as soon as possible from abroad informing him/her of your independent work.
