Vassar students interested in participating in one of the institutional exchange programs listed below should consult with the Director of the Office of International Programs before applying for permission to study abroad.

France

Sciences Po, Paris The undergraduate curriculum taught at Sciences Po focuses on the social sciences, taught in an international context. All courses are taught in French. Students should have a comfortable working knowledge of the French language. Japan

Ochanomizu University is an all female institution located in Tokyo. The university was founded as Tokyo Women’s Normal School in 1865. Like Vassar, it was the first institute in Japan to offer higher education to women. The university is one of the nation’s preeminent universities and a distinguished leader in education. Ritsumeikan University is a co-ed school located in Kyoto, a 1200 year old city rich in culture and art. The university offers a comprehensive curriculum in the humanities and social sciences. Turkey

Bilgi University is one of the leading private institutions in international higher education is located in the heart of Istanbul. Bilgi is an excellent choice for students interested in the Social Sciences. Over 900 undergraduate courses are offered each academic year. All courses are taught in English. United Kingdom

University of Exeter is one of the oldest towns in Britain only 2 hours away from London. It is often referred to as the “city in the country”.
